- Introduction
-
In the Electrical Engineering major, students learn how electrical energy the foundational energy of modern civilization is produced, transmitted, and efficiently converted and/or controlled.
Through design courses, they learn about electricity IT, energy conversion via electronic technologies, and how new and renewable energy sources are made more efficient.
The major’s ultimate goal is to produce energy engineers who can contribute to the development of technologies for climate change response to carbon emission reduction and energy efficiency.
- Educational Goals
-
- To prepare human resources with expertise in researching, designing, developing, and testing industrial electrical facilities and systems based on electrical theory.
- Develop human resources with self-reflection and problem-solving capabilities to improve technical performance and develop variations and applications of electrical properties.
- Build talents with challenging capabilities to cope with the diversification and globalization of the electrical engineering field.
