- Introduction

The Software & Service Computing major’s educational objectives are to: cultivate professional competency based on expertise in system analysis, design, development, and testing based on an understanding of computer hardware and software; cultivate the interdisciplinary skills necessary to meet the software-related demands in multiple academic fields; and foster communication skills and an awareness of being a global citizen in response to the globalization of software development. Graduates are often employed in one of several areas: IT strategy/planning, IT development, IT operational management, information security, or AI/blockchain.

- Create expertise-based practical skills to analyze, design, develop, and test systems based on computer hardware and software knowledge.
- Grow convergence capabilities to challenge software requirements arising from various academic fields.
- Prepare communication and global citizenship skills to cope with the globalization of the software development field.
