Introduction: The Mechanical Engineering major teaches the basics of solid mechanics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics to foster individuals who are capable of creative technological innovation. It also offers instruction on cutting-edge fields, such as automated mobility technologies (cars and aircraft), intelligent robots, healthcare technologies, and technologies for alternative energy sources/materials. As a foundational discipline for all areas of engineering, mechanical engineering plays a core role in product development, design, production, and packaging in all industries. It also plays an important role in traditional industries (automobiles and robotics) as well as aeronautics and shipbuilding. Mechanical engineering is the basis of technologies for semiconductors, oil refining, and steel (all of which are key industries in Korea). Graduates are employed in various industries (e.g. machinery, robotics, automobiles, aviation, semiconductors, healthcare, shipbuilding, steel) and can also have lucrative careers at government-funded or corporate research centers.

Education that combines essential knowledge of engineering with specialized knowledge of mechanical engineering.
Developing mechanical engineers with comprehensive design and problem-solving skills.
Prepare creative mechanical engineers with practical and hands-on skills.
