- About the Soft Tennis Team

HKNU's soft tennis team is the only athletic team on campus.
The club members strive to win national championships in team and individual events and aim to join professional teams after graduation. Our players are doing their best to become national team members for the honor of themselves and our university.
We would like to ask for more support for our team and we will do our best to respond with good results.
History of the Team
- 2004.2.17. Established
- 2004 Selected as the Gyeonggi Provincial Team for the National Sports Competition. Won the match against Yongin University. First appearance at the National Games
- 2006 student Lee Sang-kwon was selected to the national team for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games (1st place team).
- 2009 student Kim Jin-woong (3rd place team, 1st place singles at the 2015 World Championships in India / 1st place team, 1st place singles at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia / 2nd place team, 1st place singles at the 2019 World Championships in China)
- 2010 Student Choo Myung-soo (2nd place team at the 2017 Asian Championships)
- 1st team title since organization in 2011
- 2012-13 National Championships team won 7 consecutive events
- 2016 Students Ryu Jong-min and Chae Byung-hyun were selected to the U21 National Team (2nd place team at the 2018 World Junior Soft Tennis Championships)
- 2017 Park Ki-hyun, U21 National Team (2nd place team at the 2018 World Junior Soft Tennis Championships)
- 2017 Kwak Jeong-hwan selected to the national team (2019 Asian University Games in the Philippines)
- 2019 Sports name change (Jeonggu tennis→ Soft Tennis)
