Types of leaves of absence

General Leave of Absence, Military Leave of Absence, Academic Leave of Absence, PregnancyㆍChildbirthㆍChildcare Leave of Absence, Start-up Leave of Absence
General Leave of Absence

When a student is unable to attend a course due to personal reasons, they can apply as follows

  • Within the registration period: Enrolled or unenrolled students
  • Within 1/4 of the semester days: Enrolled students
  • Exceeding 1/4 of the semester days: Those who submit supporting documents due to illness, relocation to a new workplace, or other reasons considered unavoidable by the President.

General first-year university students are limited to taking a leave of absence for the first semester after enrollment.
Military Leave of Absence Military leave of absence to fulfill the obligation of military service can be applied for regardless of the remaining semester days, and proof such as a copy of the military enlistment notice must be submitted.
학사휴학 If you cannot take a course because it is not open, you can apply only once during your enrollment.
PregnancyㆍChildbirthㆍChildcare Leave of Absence Applicable when you are unable to continue your studies due to pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare and can be extended for up to 4 semesters.
Start-up Leave of Absence Applicable when you are unable to continue your studies due to starting a business and can be used for up to 4 semesters.

  • Business License
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • National Tax Service DB (business income of KRW 6,390,000 or more)
  • Recognized as a tech entrepreneur by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups

Grades for leave of absence students

General Leave of Absence, Military Leave of Absence
General Leave of Absence Grades will be automatically withdrawn if you withdraw before the last day of classes
Military Leave of Absence If you enlist in the military without completing the semester after 2/3 of the semester period, your grades will be accepted for the semester if you submit a transcript request form with your leave of absence application.
